Air Quality Router uses location coordinates to estimate nearby air quality and route readiness. Coordinates may be sent to the configured Cloudflare AQ Proxy for air-quality snapshot requests. The proxy narrows provider access to Air Quality Router and may cache air-quality responses.
Data used for app functionality
The app may use precise or approximate location to compare route options near a selected route center. Air-quality responses are based on nearby readings or forecast fallback data when recent readings are unavailable.
The app stores settings on device and uses iCloud key-value storage for shared target AQI, availability, selected route context, saved places, and notification preferences across the Apple app family.
Notifications and Calendar
Local notifications are scheduled on device from configured availability windows and route reminder preferences.
Calendar access is used for confirmed route event creation, scheduled-route display, and duplicate route-reminder avoidance. Calendar information remains on device and is not sent to the Cloudflare AQ Proxy or external air-quality providers.
Diagnostics and support
Diagnostic logs remain local unless shared manually during support. Support requests may include information voluntarily provided in an email or support message.
Advertising and analytics
No advertising or third-party analytics are included in Air Quality Router.
